New winter for Wallachia! A multifunctional sports center will be built near Vsetín Hokej.cz

Three years of preparatory work are over: the construction of a multifunctional sports center will soon begin in Lhota near Vsetín. The Vsetín hockey players will also be able to use the sports grounds.

Ice rink with year-round freezing, cardio gym, wellness or restaurant – all this will be part of a sports complex that will be built near Vsetín.

Dušan Kotrla, an entrepreneur and former representative in field motorcycle competitions, is behind the unique project. Stakeholders took the first step on Thursday, as they laid the foundation stone together.

“It’s an important moment for me. I remembered what we went through from the initial idea to the moment when we finally start building. Now I perceive that the biggest work is yet to come, “he says on the Facebook page of the Kotrla project.

Its implementation should cost about 250 million crowns. Kotrl’s company finances the construction without any subsidies, its supplier will be PSG.

The new multifunctional hall should be intended for the general public, among other things, Vsetín hockey players will also be able to use it. This is very good news for the Wallachian club.

“Mr. Kotrla and I talked about the various options for a long time, and I am very glad that his efforts have been fulfilled. The creation of a new sports ground represents an important step both for our hockey club and for the whole of Wallachia, “says the Vsetín executive Daniel Tobola.

The construction is also acknowledged by the mayor of Lhota u Vsetína Lenka Kocourková. “Especially children are not playing much sports these days. They need to leave their laptops and play more sports. The new multifunctional hall represents a great opportunity for them, “says Kocourková.

Representatives of Vsetín hockey also took part in the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone. The club legend Ivan Tesařík, the witness of the last extra-league title Radim Kucharczyk or the twelve-year-old Radim Křiva, who plays for the eighth grade there, tapped him with a hammer.

“We are very happy for the construction of the new stadium. Young people are in a situation where they need ice. I am convinced that the hall will have a great use, “believes Kucharczyk.
