NBA: Ben Simmons (Philadelphia Sixers), in the racket, life is good

19 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in 39 minutes. Perfect evening for Ben Simmons who played Game 5 of the first round of the play-offs against Washington (129-112) as a pivot. After Joel Embiid’s back injury in Game 4, rumors were already swelling about the Australian’s possible start in the racket. Doc Rivers digitally replaced Embiid with full-back Matisse Thybulle, letting Simmons slip into an atypical position for a point guard. Author of a triple-double, the “pivot point” once again seemed at ease in a position he had already experienced in the regular season.
