NBA and pre-Olympic. Which players will not be with their national teams?

It was a situation that arose with the adjustment of the NBA calendar. What would happen to some players if their teams went far and could not attend the call of their selection or did so with little time to prepare? In principle, it was raised for the Olympic Games (it remains to be seen how it may affect), but in the pre-Olympic it will be noticed.

The NBA talent will be visible in the different venues by some teams. Luka Doncic, Bojan Bogdanovic, Nemanja Bjelica, RJ Barrett, Andrew Wiggins, Domantas Sabonis, Jonas Valanciunas… these are just some of the names that will represent their countries. However, certain players from the Phoenix Suns, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Atlanta Hawks and the Milwaukee Bucks will not be able to attend the Conference Finals. And to this we will have to add cases like Nikola Jokic who has decided to give up playing this summer with his national team.

These are the players who will not be able to be in the pre-Olympic:

Phoenix Suns: Dario Saric (Croatia)

Los Angeles Clippers: Ivica Zubac (Croatia)

Atlanta Hawks: Bogdan Bogdanovic (Serbian), Bruno Fernando (Angola), Danilo Gallinari (Italy)

Milwaukee Bucks: Giannis Antetokounmpo Y Thanasis Antetokounmpo (Greece)

Keys to understanding the pre-Olympic

Japan, the United States, Spain, Argentina, Nigeria, Iran, France and Australia. Those are the teams that are guaranteed their participation in the next Olympic Games in Tokyo. However, there are 4 places to be assigned, some vacancies that will be decided in the Pre-Olympic. Between June 29 and July 4, 24 teams will fight to win their respective venues and fulfill their Olympic dream.

The process in all cases is the same: The 24 teams were divided into groups of 6 that will be distributed to the different venues.
