In Chongqing in summer, baseball seems to be getting hotter and hotter with the weather. At the end of May, the MLB Cup Youth Baseball Spring Open in Chongqing ended. On June 16, the MLB First Pitch Baseball Charity Class Chongqing Beibei Station was launched at the No. 1 Elementary School in Beibei District, Chongqing. The craze for baseball continued to spread in Chongqing.
This event was hosted by the MLB Major League Baseball, with guidance and support from Chongqing Beibei District Education Commission, Beibei District Sports Bureau, and Chongqing Baseball and Softball Association.
Under the guidance of MLB professional baseball coaches, students from Chongqing Beibei Zhuangyuan Primary School participated in a lively and interesting baseball sports class. Although I have never been exposed to baseball projects, the students’ enthusiasm for participation is high, and the class is carried out amidst laughter and joy. It is hoped that children can have a preliminary understanding of baseball through the charity course, and can feel and experience the experience of baseball. Fun to stimulate children’s interest in baseball. After the baseball public welfare class, MLB will also provide targeted training to physical education teachers and provide corresponding equipment to let the baseball project gradually take root on campus. It is hoped that this time, taking the baseball public welfare class to the No. 1 Primary School as an opportunity, in the future, Beibei District can have more baseball “champions” and let the figure of “Bad Boys” spread all over the campus.
Since entering China in 2007, MLB has been committed to popularizing and promoting baseball, especially in youth education. From the establishment of the MLB Baseball Development Center, to the launch of the “MLB First Pitch Baseball Charity Class”, to the continuous promotion of youth baseball games over the years, MLB has gradually established and improved the entire system of youth baseball talent training.
The MLB First Pitch baseball charity class is based on interest and is laying the solid foundation for the development of baseball in China. Since the official launch of the baseball charity class last year, it has successively settled in Wuxi, Shanghai, Beijing, Yangzhou, Zhongshan, Haikou, Hangzhou and other cities. After Chongqing Beibei Station, charity classes will also be launched in Changsha and other cities to help The diversified development of campus sports.
