Judo specialization pilot classroom presentation

The Department of Education, Culture and Sports of the Government of Aragon will implement the next course in the town of Binéfar in Huesca a specialized pilot classroom for Judo sports technification, which will have the IES Sierra de San Quílez as a reference school. Around fifteen students could benefit from this modernization program at different educational levels.

The objective of the initiative, which was presented this morning in the town, is to create a model for the conciliation of study and sport that allows them to develop a double degree during the academic training process of athletes in such a way that they can finish their stage in the school with the Baccalaureate Degree and, in turn, with the Sports Technician.

Likewise, the General Directorate of Sport intends to establish a permanent training center for the athletes included in the different technification programs of the Sport Technification Plan in Aragon (PTDA) while promoting the concept of “Sports CRA”, in such a way that athletes from clubs in localities close to the educational center can develop a process of sports technification without losing the link with their clubs and localities.

In short, it is a matter of establishing in the medium term a Judo Classroom model in the capital of the province that allows to give continuity to a conciliation program of sports technification with university training as an intermediate step in its incorporation into the High Performance Center of Madrid (CAR).

In recent years, most of the sports results at the national level are being obtained in sports federations with Sports Technification Centers (CTD) and High Performance Centers (CAR) that develop programs for the conciliation of studies and sports technification. In this sense, the Aragonese Federation of Judo and Associated Sports has raised the need to generate an efficient, economical academic and sports conciliation program that adapts to the geographical reality of the Autonomous Community and the judo clubs that comprise it.

On the other hand, when implementing this new specialized pilot classroom for sports technification, the General Directorate of Sports of the Government of Aragon, has taken into account that Binéfar has a judo club that for twenty years has been generating athletes with projection national, who have obtained numerous medals, both in Spanish championships and in the Spanish national cup circuit.

It is, on the other hand, a population center that is connected by road with other large population centers with the presence of other judo clubs such as Monzón, Barbastro, Fraga, Tamarite de Litera, Graus, Ainsa, Binaced, Altorricón, Mequinenza, Benabarre, Boltaña, Fonz, Albelda, Esplús, San Esteban de Litera and Vencillón.

Another important factor has also been the support that the Binéfar City Council offers to this sport, which has led it to build a specific sports facility for judo. The judo mat is located in the “El Segalar” sports complex. Precisely, this pavilion is the facility used by the IES Sierra de San Quílez for the development of the sessions of the Physical Education subject. This center offers the four courses of the ESO, the Baccalaureate of Humanities and Social Sciences and the one of Sciences and Technology. You can also take the initial professional qualification programs for Plumbing, Heating and Air-conditioning Operations Assistant; that of Hairdressing Assistant and the Middle Grade Training Cycles of these two professional families. IES Sierra de San Quílez brings together students from the nearby towns of Esplús, Binaced, San Esteban and Valcarca, organized in a CRA (El Trébol).

Thus, to achieve the planned objectives and ensure the necessary coordination between the different institutions and entities involved in the project, the Department of Education, Culture and Sports is responsible for providing the necessary teaching resources that allow the development of academic activity. of student athletes.
