Mike D’Antoni to be interviewed | NBA

For a few days now, the Blazers, Celtics and Magic have been looking for a new coach and the first rumors and information are emerging.

We already know that Boston does not rule out an internal solution when Portland saw the Jason Kidd track, favored by Damian Lillard, fly away.

According to ESPN, these three franchises would have an eye on Mike D’Antoni. Steve Nash’s current assistant in Brooklyn will have permission to meet with the teams, if the interest is still there and the positions are still vacant, after the playoffs.

The former double coach of the year (2005 and 2017) will he want to leave for a new challenge, at the age of 70? Since his first steps on a bench in 1999, in Denver, he has coached 1199 regular season matches (672 wins, 56% victory) and 110 playoffs, without ever winning the NBA title or even reaching the Finals. Clearly, it is difficult to see him join Portland since the team is first looking for a defensive coach.
