Since his first steps on a bench in 1999, in Denver, he has coached 1199 regular season matches (672 wins, 56% victory) and 110 playoffs, without ever winning the NBA title or even reaching the Finals. Clearly, it is difficult to see him join Portland since the team is first looking for a defensive coach.
