NBA PLAYOFF 2021: THE RESULTS

Milwaukee has relied on its first three violins, also because no other player has touched the double figures of points. The best was Khris Middleton with 38 points, 10 rebounds and an excellent 11 out of 16 shooting, followed by 30 points with 17 rebounds by Giannis Antetokounmpo. This time the Greek played only inside the arc, never taking a triple, then closing with 12 out of 20 from the field. Finally Jrue Holiday who, despite the bad 1 out of 10 from the arc, still contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds.

The Nets have been stuck below 100 for the third time in this series. Nash started Jeff Green in the quintet, excellent in race-5, and shortened the rotation of his team by fielding only Landry Shamet coming off the bench. No effect had, also because Kevin Durant, although he played well, he did not repeat the legendary performance of the last match: for him 32 points and 11 rebounds with 50% shooting, while shooting only 2 out of 8 three-pointers and committing 7 turnovers. Not that the others fared better: James Harden again appeared far from 100% closing with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists with 5 out of 9 shooting, and the only other in double figures was Blake Griffin with 12. Finally to mention the umpteenth disappointing game of Joe Harris: for him 9 points with 1 out of 4 from the arc, not exciting considering that in the last four games he is stopped at 21% from three. The decisive match will be played in Brooklyn on the night between Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June at 2.30.
