Mercato: PSG advance on Achraf Hakimi

PSG is ready to break the bank to secure the services of Achraf Hakimi. In discussions with Inter Milan for several weeks, the Ile-de-France club is not letting go and is even getting closer to a transfer. This Wednesday, Sky Italia announces that the 22-year-old Moroccan side is close to joining Paris. There are still some details to settle to finalize the transaction up to 70 million euros, bonus included. According to our information, Leonardo is continuing negotiations with his former club (of which he was a coach). If Italian sources announce that the agreement is close, we remain more measured on the side of the Parisian club in a file deemed “very important” by management.

Among the needs of the transfer window, PSG has indeed quickly targeted a right side. And the name of Achraf Hakimi, fresh Italian champion with Inter Milan, quickly found himself at the top of the pile despite the four years of contract he still has (2025) and which partly explains the consequent cost of a possible transfer. La Gazzetta dello Sport has a salary of between 7 and 8 million euros per year.

“It’s a fighter plane”

“Hakimi it’s a bullet! Grégory Paisley, beIN Sports consultant on Serie A. told us last June 4. He’s a fighter plane, a boy capable of repeating races at high intensity for 90 minutes. He sometimes has a few absences on the placement but it is not even visible: he goes so fast that he catches all the shots. “In comparison, Alessandro Florenzi” has more accuracy in his choices but, physically, there is a gap between the two players. Hakimi is incomparable, ”added the former left side trained in Paris.

At the end of the season, PSG did not exercise the purchase option negotiated with Roma for the loan of Florenzi. Hakimi, whose name is also mentioned on Chelsea’s radar, ticks many boxes to replace him. In Serie A this season, the former player of Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund has scored 7 goals. Only two defenders have done better with Inter: Giacinto Facchetti (10 goals in 1965-1966) and Marco Materazzi (10 goals in 2006-2007).

PSG have decided not to hang around at the start of the transfer window. The Parisian club very quickly recorded the signing of Georginio Wijnaldum. Author of a thunderous start to the Euro with the Netherlands (3 goals), the 30-year-old midfielder is committed from the opening of the market until 2024. He comes from Liverpool where he was late of contract. Gianluigi Donnarumma (22) should follow, also free, from AC Milan. The titular goalkeeper of Squadra Azzurra spent his medical examination with PSG on Monday in Rome.
