A Mentor, A Father
As the stage 4 of preparation with the 2021 World Championships comes to an end, it is opportune for me to take a look back.
After 5 years spent in the qualification race for the Olympic Games,
Thank god I got there.
But this consecration is due to the combined efforts of several people, and this morning I would like to pay tribute to one of them.
A person with a big heart who believed in me from the first days this very special person with whom I worked for many years
Who took me under his wing, gave me responsibilities and functions according to my qualities.
This person who encouraged me towards refereeing by registering me regularly for tournaments in Yaoundé where I did my first classes and then to various seminars, refereeing courses, African championships and the junior world championships in CapTown 2011, where I got my World Referee badge.
Which opened the doors to the international market for me.
And finally, recently at the African Championships Tunisia 2016, where I was selected for this adventure.
5 years have passed and here I am among the 16 best judo referees selected for Tokyo 2020 – 2021.
A mentor, a father, also a friend.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
President André Angwe Aboughe
