There is still no official date for the release of the fourth season of Stranger Things. The Covid-19 pandemic slowed production down a lot and the protagonists themselves admitted that they often found themselves shooting week by week, without being sure of the new calls.
Meanwhile, new images have emerged that seem to promise a very sad end for the Hawkins boys. New news arrived today on the cast of the show and they report it are the same Duffer Brothers. On the occasion of the Netflix’s Geeked Week, a video has been released in which the iconic duo behind the hit show announces 4 new protagonists of the new season. HERE THE VIDEO.
Soon after, the official channel of Stranger Things confirmed the news by publishing photos of those directly involved (strictly upside down in homage to the Upside Down) and a brief description of what their role will be in the new season. To the cast are added:
- Amybeth McNulty (Anne with an E) will interpret Vickie, a very cool, fast-talking nerd who will set her sights on one of our beloved heroes.
- Myles Truitt (Queen Sugar, Black Mafia Family) Sara Patrick, a Hawkins baseball star who has friends, talent, a good life until shocking events blow it all
- Regina Ting Chen (Queen of the South, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier) come Ms. Kelly, a popular school counselor who cares a great deal about students, especially those who struggle the most
- Grace Van Dien (Charlie Says, The Village) will be Chrissy, the head cheerleader of Hawikins High and the most popular girl in the school. Under the seemingly perfect surface, however, a dark secret lurks
From the way he is presented, it looks like Amybeth McNulty’s character could give birth to a new romantic line within the series. Something that has never been lacking: da Mike e Eleven a Lucas and Max, obviously passing through Dustin and his fiancée, the original group has often been involved in romance despite their young age. Vickie could possibly be paired with Will and help to revive it after the difficulties shown in the past seasons? There is still too much time to know, much to the regret of the fans.
