Junior seeks to outline his path to the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores

The Golden Knights are returning to their home turf, known as the toughest place to play in the League, after securing 2 victories on the road.

During the previous season, Vegas was able to build a 3-0 advantage in the Western Conference Final, but Dallas managed to come back with consecutive victories before ultimately losing in Game 6.
The Golden Knights have won all four series in team history when leading 2-0. Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said there is a slight shift in mindset when it comes to leading 2-0 compared to splitting the first two games.

“We have made significant progress towards our ultimate goal, and it is crucial to analyze our performance in order to reach it,” stated Cassidy. “My main focus now is improving in Game 3 at home without any complacency. We must remember that our opponents will be prepared and determined to compete.”

The Stars had a successful record of 26-10-5 on the road during the NHL regular season. They will use this experience as they strive to do what no other team has done since the 2002 Detroit Red Wings, which is to win a series after being down 2-0 as the No. 1 seed.

According to Cassidy, the rapid score of 3-2 suggests that the opposing team will not be giving up easily. Therefore, we will be focusing on our own performance and not concerning ourselves with how Dallas will react. We acknowledge that they are a formidable team and we will be prepared to face them. The location of the game is irrelevant to us as we expect a tough opponent either way.

In the past 11 matchups between the Stars and the Golden Knights, the Stars have been defeated in nine of them.

“We may be facing the Stanley Cup Champions, but they have a good understanding of their opponents,” said Pete DeBoer, the coach of Dallas. “They were able to do the same thing last year. We are not the only team in this position.”

DeBoer stated that it is important not to pity oneself. He approves of many of the strategies we are implementing. However, we need to score one or two more goals per night when playing 5-on-5 and prevent one additional goal from being scored against us. Instead of focusing on the negatives, we must also acknowledge that we have been the top road team throughout the season. Therefore, we must go into these road games with the intention of winning.
