The family of Jhon Mario Ramírez, current coach of Patriotas de Tunja, referred in the last hours to the coach’s state of health after being hospitalized due to Covid-19.

The 50-year-old idol ambassador, who played in ten Colombian clubs including Millonarios, DIM, Cali and Santa Fe, is at the San Rafael Hospital after having health complications. His wife and children, through a press release, gave a piece of reassurance but took the opportunity to ask for prayers for his recovery.

“We want to thank God for keeping Jhon Mario, the entire medical staff of the San Rafael de Tunja Hospital, Patriotas Boyacá for their great support for us as a family and, of course, you for your expressions of affection and prayers. We ask from the bottom of our hearts that you continue to accompany him in prayer. Jhon Mario is still hospitalized, but his recovery is progressing in the best way and he shows constant improvement every day, “the statement said.

After being presented in Patriotas, the Bogota coach started the preseason with the club thinking about League 2021-II, but last Thursday he had to be hospitalized after presenting symptoms derived from Covid-19. Coach Ramírez was one of the four positives announced by the Boyacá team in the last week.
