In recent days, several foreign media have announced that ASVEL is in the ranks of the US pivot Kaleb Shieldewski (2.13 m, 28 years old). Totalbasket, a Greek site that revealed several EuroLeague transfers in recent days, confirms this.

The former Arizona (NCAA) pivot turned professional in 2016, spending a first D-League season with the Oklahoma City Blue, before joining Milan in March 2017. In 2020-2021, following the arrival of Kyle Hines, he played much less (4 points with 57.9% success on shots and 2.9 rebounds in 13 minutes). In order to replace Moustapha Fall, who left for Olympiakos Piraeus, ASVEL needs a complementary pivot from Ismaël Bako. With Tony Parker’s team, the New Hampshire native could benefit from greater responsibilities and showcase himself as Tonye Jekiri and therefore Fall did before him.
In addition, Totalbasket also evokes another track, the one leading to the back scorer Errick McCollum (1.85 m, 33 years old). The brother of CJ McCollum, star of the Portland Blazers, is a player referenced on the European circuit, in which he evolves for 11 years. Over the past season, the winner of the EuroCup 2016 with Galatasaray was 11.6 points at 40.5%, 2.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in less than 22 minutes at the red lantern of the EuroLeague, the BC Khimki Region. It would be surprising if ASVEL could afford its services.
