In the competition of eight athletes, Chakss achieved his best result in the third attempt, sending a spear at a distance of 80.91 meters.
In the first shot he achieved his best result of the season (78.04 m), but in the other four attempts the Latvian athlete was left without a result.
The victory with the 82.81 meter long broadcast was won by the Grenada spearhead Enderson Peter. He also achieved the best result in the third litter. The second with his best result of the season (82.38 m) was the Czech Viteslav Veselijs, achieving the best result in the first litter.
The last place was taken by another Czech with 68.13 meters – the bronze winner of the 2017 World Championship Petr Friedrich.
Chaksa’s personal record is 84.56 meters, which was achieved in the President’s Award competition in Ogre last August.
