Marcella Tonioli, Irene Franchini and Sara Ret access the final for the bronze ai Archery European Championships underway in Antalya, Turkey. The three blues overcame Germany for 226-225, and were then stopped in the semifinals by France for 227-224. The final for the lowest step of the podium will be staged on Saturday 5th June at 10 am against the home trio formed by Bostan, Elmaagacli and Suzer, beaten by the Netherlands for 230-227.

In the others team competitions, Elena Tonetta, Tanya Giaccheri and Vanessa Landi stopped at the play-off of the quarter-finals of the Olympic arc, beaten by Russia 5-4 (28-26). The men’s team of the recurvo instead stopped in the second round: Michele Frangilli, Marco Morello and Yuri Belli were overtaken by Germany 6-2. Again, Sergio Pagni, Elia Fregnan and Valerio Della Stua were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Turkey in the compound compound.

As regards the individual competitions, Elena Tonetta was eliminated in the round of 32 by the Romanian Mirca. Sergio Pagni and Elia Fregnan instead came out in the quarterfinals, losing respectively to the Danish Fullerton and the Slovakian Bosansky. Finally, Sara Ret stopped in the quarterfinals, eliminated by the British Gibson, who had eliminated Marcella Tonioli in the round of 16.
