Hünstetten Storm have to improvise a bit

The second division baseball team travels to the derby in Darmstadt.

HÜNSTETTES – (sc). Next stop in Darmstadt: The second division baseball players of the Hünstetten Storm play on Sunday (12 noon and 3.30 p.m.) in the Hessenderby double pack with the Whippets. “They are strong and always dangerous,” says Bill Dickman, 2nd chairman of the Hünstetter, that there is no easy task waiting for his team in Darmstadt. Especially since with pitcher Manuel Lopez (unable to meet deadlines) as well as the ailing Emilio Abreu (catcher) and home grown Max Schulz, three players are not available. But the powerful Allan Fagnoni will be able to be there, who also had slight problems after the season opener against the Bad Homburg Hornets.

For Lopez, Billy Fabal will take over the job as pitcher in the first game against the Whippets, before Gian Franco Rizzo comes into play in game two, Dickman gives a little insight into the considerations. The Hünstetter newcomer Rizzo already convinced at the start of the season, in which the Hünstetter recorded a win and a defeat against the Bed Homburgers. In the meantime, the Darmstadt team have already played four games. The result: three bankruptcies and one success.
