Team Chile adds a new classified to the Tokyo Olympics and delegation reaches 51 athletes

The Chilean Olympic Committee received official confirmation from the International Equestrian Federation that the athlete Virginia Yarur is classified to Tokyo Olympics, to be held between July 23 and August 8, specifically in the training modality.

With this classification, the national delegation adds 51 athletes, waiting for the confirmation of new places in judo and golf, which should happen next week.

Besides, the national rugby team 7 Tomorrow begins his participation in the Pre-Olympic of the discipline, in Monaco; while Mahina Valdivia will do the same in the Open Swimming Waters, seeking a place in the selective final in Portugal.

Team Chile will be represented in at least 23 sports during Tokyo 2020, the most for a Chilean delegation in the history of the Olympic Games, covering 70 percent of the official program (23 of 33 sports).

To date, there are 51 Chilean athletes qualified for the Tokyo Olympic Games, the fourth largest number in history:
