A shock wave went through France after ‘Les Bleus’ were eliminated by Switzerland on penalties in the 1/8th finals of the European Championship. The French press wrote off the frustration, but the most disappointed of all… That was Adrien Rabiot’s mom.

The world champion gave up a 3-1 lead and saw superstar Kylian Mbappé as the only one to miss in the penalty shootout. As a result, the Swiss provided the biggest surprise so far at the European Championship. And apparently much to the frustration of Veronique Rabiot.
Adrien Rabiot played quite a decent game and can look back on a good European Championship. The Juventus player stood against Switzerland alongside the irreplaceable duo N’Golo Kanté – Paul Pogba. And although the latter again sprinkled with fantastic passes and scored a world goal, mama Rabiot was not pleased with Pogba in the Swiss equalizer.
In the stands, Veronique Rabiot, who is also her son’s manager, argued verbally with the clan of the flamboyant Man United star. According to RMC Sport, Rabiot did not think it was possible that Pogba lost the ball, after which Switzerland could score the 3-3 in the extreme. The feud is said to have started after Pogba’s relatives reacted quite violently to Adrien Rabiot’s mistakes.
After Mbappé missed the decisive penalty, the entourage of the PSG attacker also had to pay. Rabiot is said to have yelled at Mbappe’s father that his son is too arrogant and that Mbappe deserves a wash for his crucial miss. The attacker’s mother then intervened in the debates, after which Rabiot clashed with everything and everyone in the French VIP stand for another twenty minutes.
Notorious manager
Veronique Rabiot is no wimp, that’s for sure. As the manager of her son, it has already caused a stir on several occasions. At her insistence, the midfielder refused to renew his contract with PSG, after which he almost signed for FC Barcelona and eventually ended up at Juventus. The moment Adrien Rabiot landed in Italy to sign his contract with the Old Lady, his mother threatened to return home immediately because she mistook the resident photographer for a paparazzo and found it “unacceptable”.
And when Rabiot initially did not play that much, the room was too small and Rabiot immediately wanted to take her son away from Juventus. Adrien Rabiot also did not play for the French national team for a while because Veronique Rabiot was furious that her son had not been selected by national coach Didier Deschamps for the 2018 World Cup, which France won.
