EM 2021: These opponents threaten Germany on the way to the final

Neither convincing nor sovereign, but at least made it: the German national team is in the round of 16 of the European Football Championship after a happy 2-2 win against Hungary. There, the selection from the outgoing national coach Joachim Löw has to deal with the English, who have taken the lead in their group without conceding a goal. Germany would now have to win three more games to reach a European Championship final for the first time since 2008. But who could the DFB-Elf meet on the way to the final? Here you will find the tournament tree and all potential opponents of the German national team.

Who could Germany meet?

In the German half of the tournament, in addition to the round of 16 opponents, England (Tuesday, 6 p.m., TV: ARD) are also still Sweden, Ukraine, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Denmark and Wales represented. The Elftal would have to face it beforehand Czech Republic in the second round and then against the winner of the game Wales against Denmark in the possible quarter-finals win. After 1980, 1988, 1992, 2004 and 2012 it would be the sixth German-Dutch European Championship duel.
