Belgium took the lead twice in the Wagener Stadium. The Belgians took the lead in the third quarter via Nicolas de Kerpel, who took advantage of a wrong pass by Glenn Schuurman. In the last quarter Seve van Ass equalized, but not much later Alexander Hendrickx gave the Belgians another lead via a penalty corner. In the last minutes, the Orange squad again equalized, because Jip Janssen also used a penalty corner.
