“I’m very happy today, because I did pole position! I didn’t expect it at all, yesterday in the second practice we didn’t do well in the heat, so my goal was to advance to the second part of qualifying and put it there somehow,” said Salač in press release of the Autoclub of the Czech Republic.

The member of the Rivacold Snipers team finally got directly into the second part of the qualification thanks to his fifth time from training and was the fastest of them all. On the hot track, Salač was the only one to get under a minute and 27 seconds.

Jakub Kornfeil also won the last qualifying championship from Czech riders in the Moto3 class. This was achieved at the domestic Grand Prix of the Czech Republic in Brno three years ago.

In May this year, he finished second in the race in France and took the podium for the first time in the World Cup. “Now it is necessary to withstand the pressure, choose the right tires and go to enjoy the race. Keep your fingers crossed for me,” added the Czech rider.
