Carrasco resumed rehabilitation | Leader in sports

Several days ago it was announced that Carlos Carrasco had stopped his rehabilitation program due to his hamstring injury. But this Wednesday, the manager of the Mets, Luis Rojas, confirmed that the Venezuelan has already resumed his recovery.

Last week the right-handed streamer received an injection of platelet-rich plasma to strengthen the affected area. In this way “Cookie” returned to the field and is already launching from flat ground.

Since he arrived in New York, the native of Barquisimeto has not been able to make an official debut, after injuring himself during Spring Training. Similarly, the team is optimistic that the Creole starter could join at some point in July.

It is estimated that, if there were no relapses, Carrasco could be activated after the All-Star Game that will be played on the 13th of next month at Coors Field in Colorado.

The early arrival of Carrasco will mean a plus for some metropolitans who lead the East division of the National, even despite the multiple injuries suffered this year by several of their figures, including Jacob deGrom, Michael Conforto, and himself Carrasco, who arrived in the offseason.
