All Belgians tested negative for corona, unrest among the Russians: Mostovoy in preventive quarantine | European Football Championship (11 June to 11 July)

Red DevilsAll but one player in the Russian national team took a negative corona test. Andrey Mostovy’s result was ‘unclear’ and that is why he is now being put in preventive quarantine pending a retest.

Mostovoy was already infected with the corona virus earlier this year. The 23-year-old left winger of Zenit Saint Petersburg is therefore doubtful for Saturday evening’s game against the Red Devils, although he was not expected to kick off immediately.

The Red Devils, for their part, all received a negative result in the latest corona tests before travel to Russia. Spokesperson Stefan Van Loock confirmed this on Friday. The corona tests are not a formality at this European Championship. After positive tests in Spain and Sweden, all teams have been warned.
