To achieve this, this team beat all its opponents at the end of the three matches played last Saturday at the Polyvalent Sports Palace in Yaoundé. Top Spin was the first victim of Addax, beaten 3-0. Before continuing with another victory over IUG B (3-1). The third match against IUG A was presented as a final of this competition. The two teams having lined up victories for their first two games. Addax once again dominated IUG A, 3-1. A third victory synonymous with conquering the title of champion of Cameroon for this team having in its workforce, young players with experience on the national and international level such as Dereck Nyoh, the champion of Cameroon, Igor Boulmo and Nso Nji, two players with remarkable talent.

Among the veterans, Vent de la Lékié was crowned champion of Cameroon, ahead of Top Spin and Canon. “I must admit that we are experiencing a special moment right now within our team, Addax. Last season we were runner-up and this season we managed to win the title. We say thank you to God for this victory. When you work hard and manage to achieve such a result, it is great. So much joy is overflowing for us. After this title, in principle, we are qualified for the African Club Championships. So it will be an honor for Addax to take part in this competition, ”said Dereck Nyoh, captain of Addax Petroleum from Douala.

It is this national team championship that we closed with a Play-Off. This national team championship was contested in three groups. At the end of these three regroupings, we made a classification, by releasing the first four teams in senior men and as many in veteran men. We are not misogynistic. This is to tell you that since we launched the Play-Offs, we have not yet organized any among the ladies. We have organized the play-offs, which determine the national team champion ”. All eyes are now on the African Championships hosted by Cameroon. “The team championship component is over. We will continue our season with the play-offs, because we must already prepare our national team for the African Championships, which will take place from September 1 to 7, 2021 in Yaoundé, ”he said.

These African Championships will thus take place at the end of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Note that Cameroon will be well represented in Tokyo in table tennis by Sarah Nana Hanffou. The table tennis player is leaving Yaoundé on July 3 for Tokyo.
