United Vansen sneezes at ADO: ‘Jol treated disrespectfully’

30 May 2021 – It remains unsettled at ADO Den Haag, where developments continue to follow each other at a rapid pace. This week it became clear that Martin Jol is interested in buying ADO, but that was not immediately received with enthusiasm in the Hofstad. To the surprise of United Vansen.

The Chinese party has lashed out at the leadership of ADO in a special statement. That has everything to do with the fact how the club reacted to Jol’s interest. “Jol has to report to the front door. To date we have heard nothing from him,” a spokesperson said earlier. Still, there would have been contact between Jol and people at ADO.

United Vansen thinks it is outrageous that Jol is treated this way at ADO. ‘We have followed developments in The Hague with great interest’, United Vansen writes. “It was significant for us that a club icon like Martin Jol was treated so disrespectfully.”

UVS also discusses the salary issue of the Supervisory Board members. As Broadcasting West previously announced, chairman Frans van Steenis (30,000 euros), HFC member Ward Swart and Stichting Toekomst ADO member Mark Schenkels (both 12,000 euros) were paid for their services in the Supervisory Board. United Vansen states that the two Chinese members did not earn money for their duties. “We’ve always done it for free,” it reads.
