Ultimate Tennis Showdown live bei Eurosport: Medvedev Favorit

In the week before the start of the French Open (May 30th to June 13th live on Eurosport), the UTS series starts on May 24th and 25th at the Mouratoglou Academy.

The tournament line-up is headed by Daniil “The Chessmaster” Medvedev. In addition to the number two in the world, top 10 players Diego “El Peque” Schwartzman and the charismatic Italian Fabio “Fogna” Fognini will also compete in the south of France.

The UTS supplements the existing, extensive tennis offer at Eurosport, which in Germany includes the Grand Slam tournaments in Melbourne, Paris and New York as well as selected tournaments on the ATP and WTA tours.

“Eurosport was instrumental in the success of the first season of the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, which millions of fans around the world saw. It was a logical decision for us to work again with Eurosport, Europe’s leading sports broadcaster, for the broadcast of the second season “, explained initiator Patrick Mouratoglou.

Hotter matches due to rule changes

The unique event will once again introduce new rules – including shortened matches that are played in quarters and where sudden death is also possible. In addition, there will be interviews with the players during the match, coaching will be allowed and the code of conduct will be relaxed.

Eurosport will broadcast the Ultimate Tennis Showdown from the Mouratoglou Academy on Monday, May 24th from 7.15pm to 10.15pm and on Tuesday, May 25th from 3pm to 6pm live on Eurosport 1 and Eurosport with Joyn.

The qualification for the French Open can also be seen live from Monday, May 24th: Eurosport 2 will broadcast daily from 10:30 a.m. from Roland-Garros.
