The union. An afternoon to celebrate girl boy equality

Next Wednesday, June 9 from 2 p.m., the City of L’Union is organizing a day with many partners on the theme of equality between girls and boys. This first edition, with sports accents, will take place throughout the afternoon at the Georges Beyney stadium.

The time for activities reserved for girls or boys has fizzled out. It is in this message, drawn up like a banner, that the roots of the day which will be organized at the Georges Beyney stadium on Wednesday, June 9 are found. The City of the Union, in partnership with the Stade Toulousain, the rugby clubs of Asur and the EVG, and the archery associations, the Union Festivities, AC2L boxing and the MJC, has been working on the organization of this event for several months.

For a long time, uncertainty reigned. But the new sanitary measures opening the doors to entertainment, the girl-boy equality day can indeed be held.

The Minimettes of the Stade Toulousain, the rugby cadets of the EVG and the boys of Asur await you to share with you the pleasures of the oval ball. The other partner associations will offer activities to show that all activities can be declined for men or women.

During this afternoon, living art will reserve a few interludes. The La Passante theater company will perform a few sketches inspired by everyday life. They will pave the way for the expression of the public, invited to live, play and debate ideas.

The gender equality afternoon of June 9 is of course open to everyone. This fun time will start at 2 p.m., at Georges Beyney stadium, and stretch until 6 p.m. Sports attire is strongly recommended.
