The Playoffs – Adam Humphries signs contract with Washington Football Team

Adam Humphries already has a new team. After being dismissed by the Tennessee Titans that offseason, the wide receiver signed a one-year contract with Washington Football Team. The values of the negotiation have not yet been revealed.

With the acquisition, the Washington Football Team provides a reliable receiver to act alongside Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel receiving passes from the new quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Adam Humphries entered the NFL as a non-draft freshman by signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he even played with Fitzpatrick. After achieving the best numbers of his career in 2018, with 816 yards received and five touchdowns in the season, the receiver signed a four-year, $ 36 million contract with the Tennessee Titans.

In Tennessee, however, injuries and concussions did not have the same success, resulting in his dismissal at the beginning of this offseason in a move that saved about $ 4.47 million in the franchise’s salary cap.

This Saturday (27), Humphries published on his Instagram a post in which he said goodbye to the Titans and revealed his excitement with the signature with the Washington Football Team.

“Thank you so much Tennessee for the past two years. I will always be fond of the city of Nashville and the Titans. The journey continues in Washington! Excited to join the WFT and be part of this great organization ”, published the 27-year-old.

Last season, Adam Humphries accumulated 228 yards with 23 receptions in seven matches and two touchdowns.
