Badajoz hosted last weekend the last phase of the Extremadura Infantile and Cadet Judo Championship, where José Manuel and Laura Blanco, known in the judo world as the Armenteros brothers (natives of Cabezuela del Valle and belonging to the Dojo de Plasencia Club), were proclaimed Champions of Extremadura and obtained a direct pass to the Spanish Championship where they will represent the Community Autonomous
Although he has been competing for a short time because of the pandemic, José Manuel puts a finishing touch to this season in which he has achieved two runners-up from Extremadura in the superior categories of Junior and Absolute and a third place in the Spanish Cup in a category also superior to his own. In addition, he has entered the call for the European Judo Championship to be held in Coimbra, Portugal.
