This is what Commissioner Roger Goodell told the 32 teams on his circuit on Friday, via a memo obtained by the NFL Network.

Concretely, the vaccinated people will have to be tested once a week, instead of once a day. They will no longer need to be tested after travel and will no longer need to self-quarantine if they have had contact with an infected individual.

“The NFL and its Players Association will be monitoring the impact of these relaxations very closely and we will explore the possibility of adding further relaxations to the protocol as the vaccination operation at the teams’ facilities progresses,” he said. explained Goodell in his letter.

Currently, 14 teams have held vaccination sessions for their players and staff, as well as their families. Eleven other formations will do the same in the next two weeks.

The NFL does not mandate vaccination for all of its players, but is putting in place several incentives for those who choose to be vaccinated.
