Maria Camila Osorio He is getting closer to meeting a new goal: qualifying for the main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time. The Colombian tennis player took a step further after defeating the Dutch on Wednesday, May 26 Richèl Hogenkamp with partials 6-4 and 6-0 in 57 minutes of the game to reach the third round of the qualifier of Roland Garros, in France.
In the last instance of the so-called ‘qualy’, Osorio Serrano will face the Romanian Monica Niculescu, number 175 of the WTA ranking. The meeting is scheduled for next Thursday, May 27 at 7:00 in the morning approximately (Colombian time).
For this commitment, María Camila took to the court with a pair of bandages on her thighs, which generated uncertainty regarding his physical condition.
