Beverly Hills Cop (1984) – Adidas Country

Spotern

Let’s start in the archives of the film industry and with Eddie Murphy in “Beverly Hills Cop – I’ll definitely solve the case”. As Axel Foley, he pursues his rather unconventional investigative methods in adidas Country Kicks.

The film starts when Axel, undercover and of course alone, tries to sell a truck full of cigarettes, the origin of which remains unclear, to two crooks. But one of his buyers steals the truck. Police pick up the chase, devastating the Detroit suburbs.

The adidas Country came on the market in 1970 and is very reminiscent of the adidas Samba, with which it is often confused. The country silhouette celebrated its greatest success in this blockbuster. The scene remains unforgettable when Axel is thrown out of a window and two policemen appear. Axel replies: “Yo, you wanna arrest me for getting thrown out af ***** window ?!”

Back to the Future Part II (1989) – Nike MAG

Without a doubt, this sneaker is one of the most iconic on this list. It’s about the Nike Air Mag in the second part of the cult classic “Back to the Future”. It was designed by the sneaker legend Tinker Hatfield. If you haven’t heard this name yet, take a look at the Sneakerjagers page, then this is the basic sneaker knowledge that you can easily shine with https://www.sneakerjagers.com/de/de_de/?s=Tinker% 20Hatfield & search_cat = news

The sneaker is used when Doc Brown and Marty McFly travel into the then futuristic year 2015. The kicks are made special by the self-tying laces and the luminous panels. These features made the Nike Air Mag a truly unattainable holy grail.

Until 2011 it was just a vague dream, but then the utopian shoe became a reality. Hatfield himself and Tiffany Beers, Nike Senior Innovator and Design Contributor, were involved in the research and development. She is a trained engineer and lead innovator at Nike. Proceeds from the shoe released in 2011 went to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease Research. In 2015, Nike unveiled another self-lacing pair on Future Day, October 21. Self-lacing designs are no longer a dream of the future.

Batman Returns (1992) – Air Jordan 6

1989 Batman

1991 marks the year in which the Air Jordan 6, again designed by Tinker Hatfield, was introduced. It was also the first sneaker to lead basketball star Micheal Jordan to his first NBA title. In the same year, “Batman Returns” was shot and the silhouette revised especially for the superhero. As befits Batman, Nike kept the sneaker in black and added some sort of armor to the shaft. Of course, the iconic Jumpman logo was still to be found on the sole.

This version of the Air Jordan 6 was never released and yet the sneakers used in movies keep popping up. This was the case in 2015, when a single right shoe was sold for $ 8,100 on eBay.

“Run Forrest, run!” You probably know. Tom Hanks plays Forrest Gump, which is perhaps his most popular role. The Nike Cortez also has his most popular role in this film.

Forrest Gump is, with a few changes, the literary film adaptation of the book of the same name by the American author Winston Groom. The hit movie was awarded six Academy Awards and three Golden Globes. It’s about the life story of an extraordinary boy who grows up in Georgia with his single mom and with some difficulties. The film shows how he treads this path despite his limited intelligence and the stones that life puts in his way.

Again, the basis of the film is the book of the same name by Jordan Belfort. The author himself was a stockbroker and tells the story of the 20-year-old stock trader Jordan Belfort. He founds his own company and has a lot of success with it. This makes him the star of Wall Street and also a multimillionaire. The more he has, the more he wants and enjoys life in absolute luxury. He is seized by an unhealthy greed that drives him to the brink.

The French series is a reinterpretation and based on the adventures of Arsène Lupine by Maurice Leblanc and shows some of Jordan Heat. The main character Assane Diop, played by Omar Sy, wants to avenge his father, who was accused of a crime when Assane himself was a little boy.

In order to do that and to expose the real culprits, he deceives, confuses and tricks à la Arsène Lupine. The shooting had to be put on hold at short notice due to the 2020 corona pandemic, which is why the exciting first five episodes end with a proper cliffhanger. But the fans can breathe a sigh of relief, because Netflix promises us the second season from June 11th. If you want to find out more about the models in detail, read on at Sneakerjagers.
