Ex-coach Zinedine Zidane has written a bitter farewell letter to his heart club Real Madrid. “I leave because I have the feeling that the club no longer has the necessary trust in me and gives me the support to build something in the medium or long term,” the sports newspaper “AS” quoted the French on Monday, who runs the new club ÖFB kicker David Alaba had left.

Last Thursday Real announced that Zidane would leave Real Madrid for the second time in three years – after a season without a title. In his first term of office, the world (1998) and European (2000) champions led Real as a coach to triumph in the Champions League three times in a row (2016, 2017, 2018).
Zidane left his possible future open. Just this much: “I’m going, but I’m not jumping out of the boat and I’m not tired of being a coach.” The media had speculated that he could become the coach of Juventus Turin or the French national coach – or maybe take a break.
