Testing is almost part of everyday life in the corona pandemic. In addition to the corona test centers for citizens, there are approved self-tests that employers are now obliged to offer for employees in the company. The first digital test center has now opened in Sprockhövel. In the form of a video consultation, the self-test is carried out under the guidance of medically trained specialists and the result is verified. It can also be inserted into the federal corona warning app. The medical management can be called in at any time if advice is required. Even more important for those involved: In contrast to the “normal” self-tests, there is an official certificate of the (hopefully negative) test result – and thus, for example, the opportunity to go shopping, book an appointment with the hairdresser or a meal in the restaurant .
The realization of the idea comes from a qualified house. The DLMC GmbH with its managing directors Dr.med. Nicola Breithaupt and Dr.med. Nikolai von Schroeders has been around since 2007. The company is active in medical controlling. Dealing with sensitive data has been part of everyday life for 15 years. The specialists are familiar with billing and hospital structures. The DLMC has been awarded the TÜV-Nord quality certificate since 2009. Now the company in Sprockhövel is also the first certified digital test center in North Rhine-Westphalia. “The advantage of digital testing is obvious. It is possible from anywhere. The prerequisite for the video consultation is an internet-enabled device with a camera and microphone. The digital testing is contactless and the result is certified. In this way, the employee can test himself at home. There is no need to plan a visit to the test center because the appointment for the video consultation can be booked online at any time, ”explains Dr. Nicola Breithaupt.
This is how it works: A security seal is ordered in the online shop at www.onlineschnelltest.de. It comes in two pack sizes – five or twenty seals. In both cases, the price is less than ten euros. The seals are sent to the customer by post. Once they have arrived, they can select the desired date for the video consultation in the booking calendar. The appointment can be booked using a QR code or at www.onlineschnelltest.de/bg/ A confirmation email for the appointment is available with the access link to the consultation hour. To prepare for the appointment, you should have read the package insert for the test and have the test kit ready unopened. Test kits can be ordered together with the seal, but any approved rapid test can also be used. You should also have the security seal ready, a small container for storing the buffer solution (e.g. an egg cup) and valid official papers such as an identity card or passport.
Self-test with certificate
“Then we run through the self-test. I will show you the exact application, which in principle works like the self-test that you are familiar with, ”explains project manager Sarina Drewicke. Of course, the identity of the person is checked as well as the implementation of the entire test procedure and the admissibility of the test material. A few minutes after the test has been carried out, you will be switched back to the digital consultation and can show your test result there. The security seals used to document the identity of the person and the unadulterated assignment of the test result are similar to a TÜV seal. This means that once they have been applied, they can no longer be removed without destroying themselves. The test result is then sent as a download link by email (2-factor authentication with SMS code). If the Corona warning app is installed, the test result is automatically transferred.
“Our target group is of course every citizen, but also employers. You can order the seals, but also seals with tests if you have already ordered tests. The advantage is that the employee comes to work tested and receives proof of this. And if you are on vacation, you save yourself the trip to the test center at your holiday destination and can carry out the test in the hotel room or holiday apartment and receive the necessary certificate. “
And because the process is so new and unique, in addition to a press presence there was also a “big station” from politics. Sprockhövel’s mayor Sabine Noll was represented and visibly proud that the company comes from Sprockhövel with her innovative idea. District Administrator Olaf Schade was on site, but also the digitization officer of the city of Sprockhövel, Carsten Galbring, and the officer for information technology (CIO) of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Prof. Dr. Andreas Meyer-Falcke. “This is a great supplementary offer to the previous options for testing,” they all agree.
