The Visigoths of the College of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière won the banner of badminton champions in the youngest male category during the championship of the Sports Association of Private Institutions (ASIP) which took place on Sunday March 24 .
The mixed doubles teams in particular offered a brilliant performance in order to get the points necessary to obtain the first place. Let us note among others the victory in doubles of the brothers Raphaël and Olivier Laliberté (Montmagny), of second secondary. Note also the presence in the final of the mixed doubles of Charles Caron (Montmagny) and Florence Garceau-Caron (L’Islet), also second secondary.
All the players have also contributed to this great victory which comes only two years after the creation of the Badminton concentration at the College. In the end, eleven players were classified for the regional championship of the Quebec Student Sports Network, Quebec – Chaudière-Appalaches sector (RSEQ-QCA) which will take place in Quebec on April 7.
