On the four Fridays in June from 4 to 5 pm, we will entertain you with as many live shows on the page facebook of Skiing with interesting webinars dedicated to the athletic preparation of skiing.

Four events where we will bring together experts from the academic world of science and high level coaches and athletes.

The main objective is to combine information and experiences, as well as theories with practice, building an absolutely new path that will enrich the baggage of both enthusiasts and the professional of tomorrow.

This initiative was born in collaboration with theUniversity of Pavia and it is precisely from the classrooms of the historic university that we will transmit. Among the public, naturally also the students currently enrolled in the Faculty of Motor Sciences.

The reference is with alpine skiing, but in reality the final result of these four moments will be easily transferable in multilateral and interdisciplinary nature.

For each appointment, a different topic: Strength, Resistance, Balance, Methodology

On June 4th we start with “The force”, the main topic and currently most discussed in all sports disciplines.

The intervention of Tommaso Finadri, aerospace engineer, considered the greatest expert in Velocity Base Training, as well as captain of the Italian National Football Team, he focuses on the interaction between technology, mathematical science and the development of physical strength.

Luca Rosi, athletic trainer of the men’s national team of Junior Alpine Skiing (Team B and C)., graduate in Sports Sciences, former Judo athlete of national interest, will explain his strength training program on boys aged 18 to 21, who have already had experience in the World Cup and World Cup.

And among the speakers there will be some of these young protagonists, who have already won podiums and medals in the international arena. Giovanni Franzoni, 20 years old, super-G Junior World Champion, athlete of the Yellow Flames and Marta Rossetti , 22 years of the Fiamme Oro, team A slalom, with a foray of the sprinter Nicol Delago, 25, Fiamme Gialle, just out of an injury that made her miss the last season


The second appointment is dedicated to Balance – The fundamental coordination capacity for any sporting activity, especially for skiing.

Professor will open Nicola Lovecchio, AC Lecturer for the University of Pavia, Lecturer in Exercise and Sports Sciences, Director of the Physical Education magazine. Lovecchio will exhibit the scientific study on the functional assessment of balance in a critical way and with the use of exclusive measurement tools.

Then the baton will pass Andrea Gabella, athletic trainer of the women’s national team of Junior Alpine Skiing (Team B and C).

Two top made in Italy slalomists will act as a counterbalance: Irene Curtoni, who hung up his skis at the end of this season and Alex Vinatzer, 21 year old from South Tyrol, one of the strongest slalomists in the world.

The third appointment will address the chapter Fatigue resistance, the challenge that every athletic trainer must win.

For this reason, professor will be among the speakers Giuseppe D’Antona MD and PHD, researcher at the University of Pavia, specializing in Sports Medicine and functional evaluation. It will reveal some scientific aspects concerning the physiology of physical fatigue.

Aspect that will then be channeled towards alpine skiing from Marcello Tavola, graduated in physical education, athletic trainer of the Elite group of the Italian women’s national team.

There will be at his side Laura Pirovano, 23 years old, polyvalent of the Fiamme Gialle.

The fourth and final appointment will focus on Methodology, Programming and Periodization – “Manage Time Over Time” – of training. Topic of interest for every component of the sport organization and which is experiencing a moment of great critical analysis.

Will introduce the topic on Professor Cesare Beltrami, Scientific Director of the Regional School of Sport – Coni / Sport and Health – Lombardy. Former Olympic canoe athlete, Beltrami was the coach of the great Oreste Perri, as well as director of the Isef Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Brescia.

Then the intervention of the Professor Walter Stacco, AC professor at the University of Pavia, Methodologist of Training and Physical-Athletic Preparation Techniques. Owner of the “Without Boots” column of the Sciare magazine. The difficulty of planning training in alpine skiing will be his subject of discussion, with an unprecedented classification.

Following Federica Brignone, the only Azzurra to win the Alpine Ski World Cup and the most successful athlete ever, together with Deborah Compagnoni.

Of course, at the end of the speeches, there will also be room for questions from the public.
