Altuve extended his hitting game streak to 17

May is still an idyll for Venezuelan José Altuve, who this Sunday extended his streak of games to 17, giving at least one hit.

Despite the setback of the Astros against the Rangers 3-2, the “Astroboy” stood out and closed his second consecutive week with hits in each of the commitments he played.

Altuve finished Sunday 5-2 to close the week with a total of 12 hits, including a home run, and a pair of RBIs. All for an astronomical average of .353.

In the entire month of May Altuve has played 20 games and only in two of them has he gone blank. The last game he failed to hit was May 4 against the Yankees.

From then on, he has 28 hits, including three doubles and four home runs, and has driven in 10 runs.

His monthly average is .333 and the overall .307.
