For 2021, the IFJ has designed an ambitious calendar, with around 30 tournaments to be played in ten countries.

Championships that will be divided into four categories and will house the dreams of young aspiring stars, who will look more easily at the WPT challengers. “The mission to internationalize paddle tennis and help National Federations to develop by having tests that give the possibility of approaching the professional circuit, World Padel Tour, is great news for everyone,” he says Luigi Carraro, president of the international federation.

As the, Mario Hernando -Director general of the WPT- believes that these new tournaments will contribute to solidifying the base of players that feed the circuit in the future. “It is an important advance for the consolidation of the global structure of elite padel at the world level. Two seasons ago, World Padel Tour and the International Federation got the clear objective of putting the necessary wickers to allow the growth of players from all countries to the top of the WPT tournaments, “he says.
