Serie B – The Guerriero Padova wastes too much and is punished by Monfalcone

The race, which was to be used to regain confidence towards the path of salvation, reserves another big disappointment for Padua Warrior, defeated within the friendly walls of PalaGozzano by Falconstar Monfalcone. The sixth consecutive knockout still highlights all the offensive problems of theUBP which creates a lot, but wastes even more at the time of the conclusion (19/68 from the field), making the great effort produced on the defensive half unnecessary. The intense test of Edoardo Scattolin (11 points, 7 rebounds, 9 steals, 25 evaluation) and the return of their top scorer Eros Chinellato (15 points) does not save the biancoscudati who throw away the chance to overturn the result in the final.

1st ROOM. In the first few bars it seems to witness the photocopy of the last few days: Padua supports the game on Campiello, but it is not assisted by good shooting rates (8-16). Chinellato also sees himself on the field, returning after the injury occurred against Senigallia (13-18). The starting quintet of the Paduan is soon revolutionized with the entries of Sniper, Bruzzese e Handbag which at least have the effect of bringing more energy to the game. A triple from Chinellato closes a difficult first set from an offensive point of view (16-19).

2nd ROOM. Monfalcone continues to make the pace (18-24), finding the prompt response again from Chinellato (21-24). Padua also has the ball in its hands for a possible tie, but does not capitalize on several possessions (21-26). It is then up to Chinellato again to unblock the impasse by carrying out an open field on hand (23-26). Cecchinato in acrobatics also signs the -1 (25-26), while he treads the parquet Day (27-30). At the long interval, the Falconstar still manages to keep a margin of 4-5 lengths (29-34 and 32-36), also taking advantage of a series of trips to the line (32-38).

3rd ROOM. The game gets complicated at the start of the second half: Padova attacks with little clarity, paying duty on the opposite half of the pitch where Medizza always finds a way to free himself under the boards (39-49 at 25 ‘). L’UBP then try to recompose himself in defense by building a partial 6-0 (45-49) with desire and intensity, interrupted – after a massacre of opportunities not materialized by the hosts (3/16 of three) – by a placed by Andrea Schina towards the sunset of the third stage (45-51).

4th ROOM. Andrea Schina himself repeats himself scoring the Friulian +8 (47-55), but the triple of Cazzolato the new -5 holds (52-57). Here, the Warrior, who in the meantime loses his captain Andreaus for fouls, he wastes too much and recovering even a small waste becomes a titanic undertaking (52-60). Less than 1 ‘from the end, however, Scattolin makes 4/4 to the free in an amen reducing the gap to full possession (57-60), but later badly squanders a fundamental ball in combination with Coppo. On the other hand, Andrea Schina puts only one of the two free players at his disposal when there are 21 seconds left (57-61). Cecchinato gives -1 toUnion at 12 ” from the siren with a shot from the bow (60-61) to then spend the foul on Casagrande (60-63), who will close the accounts still standing (3/4) in the interlude of a useless 0 / 2 by Scattolin always from the line of charity (60-64).
