NBA, Patrick Beverley still out against Cleveland

I Los Angeles Clippers will have to do without Patrick Beverley also for tonight’s match against the Cleveland Cavaliers. For the player, therefore, the absence due to knee problems continues to last even in February. Beverley was injured on January 24 in the match against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The play this year started in the starting lineup maintaining an average of 8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Figures are not exciting but it is also true that the player is required above all commitment in the defensive half of the field. It was above all who benefited from this absence Reggie Jackson, a much more offensive player than the former Houston. Beverley arrived in California in the 2017-2018 season, after 5 years in the Rockets tank top.

News that will certainly please the Cavaliers back-court, with Sexton who after returning from injury is traveling at averages of over 24 points and 4 assists per match.

At Clippers, however, Beverley’s absence weighs on a franchise that already has a short roster, with a greater effort required of all teammates. For now, however, the franchise seems to hold up and indeed, is keeping pace with the Lakers champions and the Jazz who, before the stop at the hands of Jokic and Denver, had struck ten consecutive victories.

To understand now the extent of the injury and, should it continue further, the chances of seeing a change of hierarchy with Reggie Jackson, the new starter in the quintet. The 2020/2021 season will be short and anything can happen.
