Jérémy Chardy dominates Gilles Simon, Ugo Humbert and Adrian Mannarino eliminated

This second round of the Murray River Open, a tournament organized to prepare for the Australian Open, marked the eighth reunion on the circuit between Jérémy Chardy and Gilles Simon. And the trend between the two men was respected since Chardy won a fourth success in a row (6-3, 6-4).

A break in the middle of each set allowed the Pau to win against a Simon a little helped by six double faults and a small 55% of first balls. Qualified for the knockout stages, Chardy will be opposed to Federico Coria or Taylor Fritz.

Exempt from the first round, Ugo Humbert made his comeback against Australian James Duckworth and the seed stalled (7-6 [6], 6-4). Also eliminated, Adrian Mannarino who was dominated by Marcos Giron (6-3, 6-4).
