Geoffrey Castillion grateful to have the opportunity to join the Italian Serie-C team, Como 1907. The Dutch player was loaned by Persib to Como until June 2021 or until the Serie-C competition was over.
Castillion says joining Como is an opportunity he doesn’t want to waste.
“The competition in Indonesia has stopped for a long time. Now is a good opportunity, because I will play for five months in a competition in a country where football is good. I hope that after I can return to Persib and I can play even better,” said Castillion.
On the other hand, not feeling the atmosphere of the competition for almost a year because Liga 1 was stalled since mid-March 2020 is a challenge for Castillion.
He is required to be able to immediately show his best game and help Como promotion to Serie B.
However, Castillion admitted that he was a little lucky because even though he did not compete, he always trained independently while in the Netherlands with the help of a personal trainer.
“Before going to Italy, I had made quite solid preparations because in the Netherlands there was a personal trainer to prepare me for Como. Every now and then I train on a normal pitch and that helps my performance and I hope that when I come to Italy I can find a sharper touch again,” he said. .
