United States Women’s National Team goals against Colombia

This is the second friendly that the two teams played in the last week, as Last monday Colombia fell 4-0 to the four-time world champions, on the same stage.

For prevention, in that duel, players such as Daniela Montoya, Diana Ospina, Carolina Arias and Gabriela Huertas could not be involved because they had had contact with a person positive for coronavirus.

Tonight they could be at the disposal of the technical director, Professor Nelson Abadía, but the result did not improve as the fast transitions of the United States annihilated the intentions of Colombia to gain possession of the ball in the middle of the field.

United States Goals 6-0 Colombia

After three minutes of play, Colombia had already received the first goal against its counterpart from the United States. Catarina Macario scored after a cross from Ali Krieguer. Superstar Megan Rapinoe also scored twice – once from a penalty – to go into the halftime break winning 3-0.

Below, the videos of the annotations shared by the official account of the North American team:

In the second half, it was Lynn Williams, Lindsey Horan and Margaret Purce who were inspired to participate in the win and seal the 6-0.

These matches were part of the preparation of the national women’s team in preparation for the 2022 Copa América Femenina that will give places to the next FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia-New Zealand 2022.

Thus ends this microcycle of the Colombian team, which will return to the country this Saturday, January 23.
