On the pages of its website, Juventus has published a long message of good wishes for its fans, full of important reflections at the height of a difficult year for the world in general. Here it is below:
“Memories are made of voices, images and sounds.
It is always like this, for the most intimate joys, for the most poignant melancholy, for what remains of a great adventure.
We are fortunate that the great adventure that we live and build together with you every day does not stop at the turn of a calendar.
What ends, begins again. What is suspended resumes.
The adjective that many come to mind when you pull back the ribbon and go back to 12 months ago is really “suspended”: it’s 12 months, which seems like 12 years. On January 6th we left together, at the Allianz Stadium, and it was the usual party of sounds, emotions, goals, colors and shouts.
It was the football party, which seemed obvious to us, but which suddenly wasn’t anymore.
We all know what happened this year, and we are not here now to remind ourselves (and remind you of it). However, we can make sounds speak, as well as images.
The roar became silence, even when after a few months the ball started rolling again, because this is how it had to go, for us, for you and for the sport we love. But it wasn’t the same thing. We put in the usual commitment, we raised the Scudetto Cup as in recent years, but it was not the same thing.
It was not, it is not and it will not be in the immediate future: a year opens with new challenges to live on the pitch, with a future to write and new emotions to live.
For now we won’t be able to do it the way we love the most, hoping that the time when we will be physically together again will come soon.
However, we know that every challenge always sees you by our side, even when not everything goes as we want.
So you can be sure of two things: the first is that we miss you, since that match in March, without you.
The second is that we are there. It could not be otherwise.
