Slavia and Sparta together against Hniliček

The management of both clubs refused to downplay Hniliček’s meeting, pointing to the fact that while the participants of the meeting had fun at the celebration on Saturday despite the government restrictions, sports clubs face restrictions that prevent them from operating, or allow it only with major restrictions.

Both clubs also reminded that the statement published on Monday is not the opinion of the football movement.

“AC Sparta Prague and SK Slavia Prague consider it inappropriate to downplay Milan Hnilička’s actions in this active way in a situation where a significant part of FACR members as well as other sports associations cannot perform sports activities at all due to hygienic and anti-epidemiological measures, professional sports with significant restrictions , at high additional costs and without the presence of fans, “states the statement that Slavia published on its website.

The head of the association, Martin Malík, signed the statement on behalf of the FACR in support of Hniliček.

Football rivals are not the only subjects who opposed Hniliček’s stay. He was also invited to resign by the head of the jumping department in the Ski Association of the Czech Republic, Jakub Janda, who is an ODS deputy.

In response to the public conviction, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) also decided to give up his parliamentary mandate and donate 50,000 crowns to charity.

Another of the participants in the meeting, the Liberec Police Director Vladislav Husák, was removed from office by the Police President.
