SCOP rehabilitates court in La Piedad secondary school

MORELIA, Mich., January 8, 2021.- “In these difficult times, a more educated society is needed, so the value of investing in education with new infrastructure is undeniable,” said the deputy director of the afternoon shift of Technical High School no. 20 de La Piedad, Jesús Ocampo Maldonado, where the state administration of Governor Silvano Aureoles Conejo rehabilitated the multipurpose field.

According to a press release, for the benefit of more than a thousand students per classroom school year, and through the Ministry of Communications and Public Works (SCOP), the Government of Michoacán improved this school space with one million pesos, which does not it had been intervened since the foundation of the campus, just over 48 years ago.

The works consisted of replacing the old surface with a 12-centimeter-thick hydraulic concrete pad, reinforced with electrowelded mesh in 963 square meters; later, in the application of white epoxy paint 10 centimeters wide, to delimit the badminton and volleyball areas, as well as high resistance blue paint, which demarcates the soccer and basketball areas.

The work includes 300-square-meter stands, with a 10-centimeter-thick hydraulic concrete floor, also reinforced with electrowelded mesh.
