Third consecutive victory for Liofilchem who fully merits the PalaTriccoli of Jesi, beating the hosts of Aurora Basket with the final score of 68-86. Race commanded right from the start for Pastore and his companions, able to resist even the return of Jesi during the third fraction and then good at managing: with the two points in the Marche region first place alone at 12, thanks to the simultaneous defeats of Fabriano and Ancona.
There was a bit of fear of the risk of tiredness due to the third game in a week, Roseto was good at commanding the contested ball, slowing down the game when needed and running when it was possible: the excellent percentages from the field are symptom of the game growth and a team capable of going for the third in a row over the 80 points scored.
Four men in double for Roseto: best scorer Andrea Pastore with 17 points (10 in the first fraction), but also a lot of defense and aggression on both sides of the field, 16 for an amazing Edoardo Di Emidio with 4 triples, 16 also for Aleksa Nikolic (8 in the first quarter), 11 for Lucarelli, also worth mentioning is the triple final of the young Pedicone. For Jesi the best player undoubtedly Magrini with 27 points, in double figures also Giacchè who stops at 11.
Match that saw Roseto start immediately strong thanks to Nikolic and Lucarelli, 10-13 at 5th; Jesi came out thanks to Magrini’s baskets, but the biancazzurri found important baskets in Pastore, with two free shots from the former Latina and Rieti to close the first ten minutes at 21-27. Just a triple of the Rosetan guard opened the dances of the second period, the entry of Amoroso raised the offensive dangerousness rate with the maximum advantage touches 13th on 21-36 with a basket from Lucarelli. Jesi practically never scores for five minutes, Giacchè puts 4 in a row for at least 11, but still Nikolic and a triple from Captain Ruggiero push back the Marche, and 5 from Di Emidio block the score at the interval at 31-46.
Upon returning from the locker rooms we expect a comeback but Roseto does not change the score and returns to hammer with insistence: Amoroso’s triple and Serafini’s basket with a foul for +17; Jesi is all in Magrini, Pastore and Di Emidio for 43-56, yet another triple from the Rosetan player makes Liofilchem fly to 45-61. The hosts cling to points from the line with Magrini and Giampieri, and a three-point basket from Mentonelli closes the third quarter at 55-65. Race that Jesi absolutely wants to reopen, but Roseto is too concentrated and with a heavy break of 13-4 with the various Lucarelli, Amoroso and Di Emidio closes the accounts, up to touch the maximum advantage at 61-80 of the 36th, with Pedicone who closes it for the final 68-86.
