Michael Jordan impresses with his new feat!

Did you think Michael Jordan was now very far from any competition? Think again, the legend ist still totally addicted to winning, and just the prove it with a resounding new achievement. Spoiler: It’s not basketball.

Retired for almost 20 years now, Michael Jordan takes full advantage of his free time between business and various leisure activities. Owner of the biggest personal fortune in basketball history, it is true that very few activities are prohibited to him on a daily basis. But when your name is Michael Jordan, even hobbies are an opportunity to crush the competition.

Her Majesty’s new feats took place not on a basketball court this time, but in the last “Buccaneer Cup” in Palm Beach. For the uninitiated, this is a big annual fishing competition in Florida where the goal of the different crews is to catch the most sailfish, the fastest fish in the world.

If his capture is therefore extremely difficult, Jordan once again made the powder speak against the many competitors. It is USA Today who brings us back his exploits.

Last week, Michael Jordan and his fishing boat, the $ 8 million Catch 23, which honors his number 23 in basketball – claimed the crew’s first victory in a fishing tournament sailing by winning the 58th Buccaneer Cup in Palm Beach, Florida.

Catch 23, led by Captain Stetson Turney, captured and released 7 sailfish, two of which were hauled up by Michael Jordan himself. This is how Catch 23 won the trophy with 1,400 points, ahead of the De-Bait-Able crew, second at 1,200 points.

The tournament awards 200 points for each swordfish caught with live bait and 300 points for a capture with dead bait (which is more difficult, editor’s note).

So, live or dead bait for Jordan? You know the character, in basketball as in fishing, he lives only for the challenge:

The Catch 23 only used live bait. A fleet of 38 boats participated in the event, counting 63 swordfish caught in two days of fishing (including 11% by Jordan’s crew, editor’s note)

By the way, a few months ago, MJ had already been greeted as a hero after an incredible catch on his boat: a fish heavier than… Shaquille O’Neal! No it’s not a joke photo for proof in this article.

There was a time when players shivered when Michael Jordan stepped onto the pitch. Today, these are the Pisces who look gray when he gets on his boat. GOAT of the parquet floors… and of the seas.
