Man United Officially Signed Amad Diallo from Atalanta

Manchester

Manchester United officially signed a new signing in the January transfer market. He is Amad Diallo, a young 18 year old from Ivory Coast.

Diallo was recruited from Atalanta, and is indeed a graduate of the La Dea academy. The agreement between the two clubs has been going on since the transfer market last summer, but at that time there were still administrative issues that had to be resolved.

Now, everything is official, and Diallo is officially tied by MU until June 2025, with an option to extend for a year. The transfer value was not stated, but Transfermarkt noted that MU must spend 21 million euros.

“Manchester United are pleased to announce that Amad Diallo’s arrival from Atalanta has been realized. The Ivorian winger has agreed a contract until June 2025, with an option to add one year,” wrote MU’s official statement.

This season, Diallo has only appeared twice with Atalanta. He is still unable to compete. But his performance last season with Atalanta Primavera was quite satisfying, where he scored 7 goals and 11 assists in 24 matches.

He was also given the opportunity to appear three times with Gian Piero Gasperini’s team and scored one goal. For his potential, MU brought him.

“We have watched Amad for many years and after seeing it for himself I believe he is one of the most promising talents in football,” said MU manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“Manchester United have a good history when it comes to coaching young players and everything that is available can help Amad reach his potential here.”

“It took time for him to adapt, but his speed, vision and dribbling ability put him in a good position to make the transition. He is still raw, but has everything he needs to be an important player at United in the next few years,” explained Solskjaer of Amad. Diallo.
