Lyon, with Jason Denayer, secures his 1st place by beating Lens

Olympique Lyonnais secured their leading position in the French championship by winning 3-2 against Lens on Wednesday. Jason Denayer played the entire meeting for the Lyonnais.

Lyon opened the scoring via Depay (39th) before doubling the stake at the very start of the second period after a goal against his camp of Fortes (46th). Depay then planted his second goal of the evening from the penalty spot (52nd) before Sotoca (56th) and Doucouré (89th) reduced the mark for Lens.

In the standings, OL consolidates its first place with 39 points, three more than Paris Saint-Germain, hooked in Saint-Etienne for the first of Mauricio Pochettino (1-1) and Lille, beaten by Angers (1-2 ).

Reims, for its part, could not do better than a 0-0 split against Dijon. Holders, Wout Faes and Thomas Foket played the entire match for Reims where Thibault De Smet remained on the bench.
